In 2018, I was honored to accept the position of Teaching Pastor at Church Alive Orlando.

In 2009, I remarried in a beautiful ceremony at Paladia. My new wife Jenny shares my passion for God, board games and sci-fi... truly a match made in heaven!

I was married once before, for 25 years. My ex-wife Marilyn and I chose not to have children, but have enjoyed the companionship of many pets. Some of my favorites are pictured below:

I started my career in 1980 as an analyst for Aetna Insurance, but left after 2 years to found Flexible Software, where I wrote "Portfolio" (Game Room). The next 2 years were a wild roller-coaster ride; from not knowing how I was going to pay the bills, to signing with the foremost software agent in the country and thinking I would be ‘set for life' by 25. As it turned out, neither extreme came to pass, and I decided to go back to school and pursue a safer path to success.

I graduated ‘Order of the Coif' from University of Virginia Law School in 1987, and took a job with a major law firm in Orlando, Florida. I later joined my wife and Raymer Maguire, III, Esq. in founding Maguire & Dvores, P.A. In 1998, I was listed in Who's Who of American Executives.

These days, I work out of an office in my home, which frees up more time for my creative passions. As I spent more time artistically, growing a beard seemed to fit right in.

I was raised in a Jewish home, but from an early age considered myself agnostic. I never really thought about God until a truly miraculous event changed our lives. If you'd like to read about it, click here or read the story of my parents' road to salvation Standing in the Gap.
